Nigar Nazar is the first woman cartoonist of Pakistan and of the Muslim world.
She is cartoonist and author who uses Art for Activism .She uses her clout for entertaining the privileged and serving the underprivileged whether it is through the Gogi books on the Mobile Camel Libraries for the desert children or kids in Deep South, Khairpur, Tamiwali and BWP. She entertains young patients in Cancer Hospital with Gogi animations and lets the Gogi mascot gift them colourful books. Nigar is twice a Fulbrighter and recipient of The Fatima Jinnah Award.
She was nominated by BBC for “100 Global women who have made a difference in 2014” NHK, largest TV channel of Japan has produced a 28 minute documentary on her which was aired three times in 2015 .
She was voted for “50 Power Women of Pakistan” a survey conducted by The News, daily. The President of Pakistan launched her book on Corruption
